Image attribute: Image attributes (alt text or alt tag) are text-based and don’t really impact your website’s performance. Smaller images (up to 2 megabytes in size) are better in most cases. Image size: The best overall (pixel) size of your images depends on your use case, e.g., background images need to be bigger than a blog post image.įile size: Anything bigger than 20 megabytes in size can dramatically impact your website speed. Any image smaller than that might get cut off or appear blurry if it needs to fill the browser width. and after all that i am happy to go back into C1 to process the final choices for best quality.i honestly don't think C1 can keep up with apple or adobe and their abilities to make editing/distribution software.and there is no need for that.just make it so i can set my capture folder in aperture/LR as target folder and all my files pop up in there.Pixel width: 2500 pixels is perfect for stretching full-screen across a browser in most cases. It is also not about the perfect quality of the final is about having a workflow that shows me detailed files, lets me edit, output contacts/webgalleries. I think that sounds exactly like what i am talking about.Īnd again: i don't understand the technical reasons, i am sure there are many and it is not easy to make everything compatible. Phase one realizes the need for deeper integration between capture 4 and other workflows.

I have leaf files, sinar files, canon files, nikon files on my harddrive and they pretty much all open in every software i try.and not a single one opens the phase files.for years i have heard on these boards that the phase files are open and available.if they are why will no programmer support them in their software? it does not make any sense at all! for a small program like Lightzone it makes sense that they can work with any format out there to not leave anyone out.they open all files except for phase. Keith.with all respect and i really don't know anything about the technical aspect of all this.but:ĬR, LR, aperture (no MF backs), even lightzone all support pretty much everything thrown at them with different results, but not phase files. I've had no problem with ACR 3.5, Bridge or Lightroom b4 opening full-sized TIFFs from either a P25 or P45.

It opened just fine in Lightroom b4 as a 7240x5433 TIFF file (albeit 8 bit), made corrections in Lightroom and then from Lightroom opened it in PSCS2 (where it opened with the changes in full size). I just used Lightroom b4, used the "import" command to find a C1 captures folder and chose an image (I chose Render Standard Previews" in the Import Photos dialogue box). I don't know what the issue is for you, Paul.

I actually couldn't care less about CR.i am more interested in opening the files in Lightroom/Aperture for a better workflow.

Tried again.in bridge the files (in the C1 capture folder) show up as.
